An ad-hoc recording lab that drops into events. Step in, record, and play.
You bring the conversation. We handle the mics, framing, and levels.
The content belongs to the creators in it. Nothing goes out without your OK.
After approval, the original recording is preserved in the open archive of community recordings.
Want a feel for the vibe? Here are edited highlights from Berlin Blockchain Week 2025: Recording Station sessions. (Archive source drops coming soon.)
The originals are published to Internet Archive under CC BY-SA (share + remix with attribution).
Step in: Grab a slot on-site.
Record: We handle mics, framing, and levels. If you want help hosting or prompting the conversation, we can do that too.
Review: Watch or listen back and approve.
Publish: The recording is added to the public archive.
Any-style conversations • Short-form interviews • Panels
Recaps & event reactions • Personal video journals • Experimental pieces
Most event coverage is top-down. Recording Station is the opposite: a place where the people in the room document themselves, on their own terms.
It might be a deep-dive conversation, a quick reflection, a hallway riff, a group recap, or something weird.
Once you approve it, we add it to the open archive of community recordings with credits and context so the conversation stays usable years later.
🎥 Gear
HD cameras, lights, handheld and lav mics, portable mixer/recorder, and field kits for hallway interviews.
👥 Crew
We help with setup and recording, and can host if you want. The vibe is low-pressure and inclusive.
🕓 Sessions
Walk in and sign up on-site: solo, pairs, roundtables, or live panels.
Self-representation: People choose to speak for themselves, not through a selection filter.
Connection: A fun space to meet, collaborate, and riff.
Memory: Insightful conversations become community memory, preserved in the open archive instead of disappearing into the hallway.
Consent and credits come first. Clear approvals and attribution at every step. (If sensitive content needs alternatives, we’ll agree on it in advance.)
After that, the original recordings are released to Internet Archive under CC BY-SA.
Step up to the mic with your thoughts, your work, or your wild ideas.
