Channels and ownership (MVP)
Initial channels during MVP:
Additional channels may be added during MVP as channel owners and trusted uploaders are identified.
Channel owners approve what is published. Admins may block or unlist content for policy or safety reasons.
Publishing workflow (MVP)
1. Content selection
A video is selected by a channel owner or admin.
2. Request to publish
A request to publish defines:
- which channel the video belongs to
- what the video is called
- key context (event, date, participants)
- any known sensitivities (consent, edits, restrictions)
Requests come from channel owners or trusted uploaders and are coordinated directly during MVP.
3. Upload
The uploader:
- uploads the video to the correct channel
- sets visibility to unlisted
- allows transcoding to complete
- fills in required metadata
All required fields must be completed before review.
5. Review
A moderator or admin checks:
- policy compliance
- correct channel placement
- basic audio/video usability
- metadata completeness
6. Publish
Once approved:
- visibility is set to public
- video is added to relevant collections
- playback is verified
All published videos must include, at minimum:
- Clear, specific title
- Date and event (if applicable)
- Speaker or participants
- Description with context and links
- 3–8 relevant tags
- Language
- License
- Caption status (attached or noted)
Metadata quality is required for publication.
- Talks:
Event: Talk title — Speaker
- Updates:
Zcash Ecosystem Update — Week of YYYY-MM-DD
